Anchoring
Ric Renner's Anchor Reel
It’s a potpourri of my latest work. Anchoring shows for 4 different NBA teams in the Great Southwest. High Energy and Family Oriented.
Hosting “Mavs Live”, Dallas Mavericks Shows
Luka Doncic puts on a show for yet another 40-point game, his 10th in his career. The Mavs beat Toronto.

Dallas also takes on the Defending NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks. Star Power is absent including Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounpo. How do the Mavs Navigate their 7th player out in 5 days because of COVID-19 protocols? Jason Kidd has a plethora of 10-day contracts and wonders who’s in uniform every day with no practices.
Hosting “Spurs Live, San Antonio Spurs Pre/Post
A potpourri of recent Spurs Shows. I’ve been the lead Host for 21 years which includes 4 NBA Championship runs and 4 Spurs Championship parades down the San Antonio River Walk. It’s been an honor to work with Bill Land and Hall of Famer Sean Elliott for all these years. I’ve covered Matt Bonner as a player and covered for him as an analyst (Kidding). Dan Wiess joined the party in recent years and you can see from the Shows we are like buddies hanging out watching Spurs Basketball together.
Hosting “Pelicans Live”, New Orleans Pelicans
“Signature Wins” for the New Orleans Pelicans to beat the Lakers twice in one week! Both Teams are battling for a Play-in game and a shot a the Postseason. Lebron James scored 77 points in 2 games and it wasn’t enough against the young Pelicans. What a miraculous story New Orleans is after a
1-12 start and no Zion Williamson all season. The team has bought into Coach Willie Green’s defensive philosophy and added sharpshooter CJ McCollom at the trade deadline and you’re looking at the best turnaround in the league!

Bat Flips lead to Fat Lips! If you Celebrate, they Retaliate! The Rangers and A’s play 19 times this year and Boys can Boys. Forget short-term memory, why not remember an incident from a month ago when a Rangers pitcher stepped on an Oakland bat! Ramon Laureano and Adrian Sampson fuel the fire on “Rangers Live” as we dissect pimping home runs, 2 hit batsmen, ejections, and bruised egos. We cover all the angles and the errant fastballs in this heated rivalry!

Let it Rain in Minnesota!
Back in the Metrodome days in Minneapolis, we never worried about a rain delay. But, with the new open-air ballpark…that was a distinct possibility on this day. Former Ranger Great Mark McLemore has been the target of many successful Ric Renner pranks over the years… but, #3 saved up his best for last! It’s good comedy at the expense of yours truly on the Rangers/Twins Postgame Show. By the way, my hair is real and it's spectacular!
High School Hysteria! Greatest games ever!
Nothing better than Texas High School Football! We cover it like the Super Bowl, broadcasting all 12 State Championship Games. Here’s “HS Scoreboard Live” after the greatest title games, ever! and a legendary coach’s last hurrah! North Shore wins a State Title on a “Hail Mary”, Highland Park overcomes a double-digit deficit in the final 3 minutes to win a “Game for the Ages!”, and One of State’s Greatest Coaches goes off into the sunset with 3 Straight State Championships. Todd Dodge graduates to retirement as his Superstar Quarterback, Cade Klubnik graduates to Clemson.

High School Football is Religion in the State of Texas ! Quarterbacks like Drew Brees, Matthew Stafford, Kyler Murray, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Vince Young, Andrew Luck, Davey O'Brien, Y.A. Tittle, and Sammy Baugh are all over the Texas Record Books. But, there is one guy they're all looking up to: Braedyn Locke of Rockwall High School. He is the State's All-Time TD King and would become Class-6A's Greatest Passer too. He's Mississippi State bound and ready to play college ball with the Quarterback Whisperer, Mike Leach.
Gisella Maul, Texas Basketball Player of the Year!
She’s arguably the best basketball player in the country. Gisella Maul won the Texas Gatorade Player of the Year. She led Cedar Park HS to Back-to-Back State Championships with MVP Performances. That included a double-overtime victory over Frisco Memorial HS where she hit clutch free throws down the stretch and covered the opposition’s best player. We chat ice water in her veins, the T-Wolves Legacy under Coach Donny Ott, and State Championship sneakers that her parents had made before it happened! That’s confidence in their rising star!
Dane Dunning Zooms in from Hawaii
It’s not often we interview a Texas Ranger in Hawaii, much less a guy on his Honeymoon. Pitcher Dane Dunning was kind enough to give us a few moments to talk to “Rangers Insider”. It’s been an amazing year for the Rookie Pitcher who became the first Rookie to win Rangers Pitcher of the Year! He has a bright future in an organization that’s banking on several young pitchers to be a staple in the rotation for many years to come! Dane prides himself as the complete pitcher with defense, hitting, and a Cowboy Hat Celebration afterwards.
